Scripture Focus: Acts 2:41-42 "So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."
Cowboy Wisdom: When you sign on with an outfit, you don't just show up once and disappear. You saddle up every morning, you ride with the crew, you learn from the experienced hands, and you do your part. That's what these new believers did—they didn't just make a one-time decision and go back to life as usual. They devoted themselves to learning, fellowship, communion, and prayer. Being a Christian isn't a Sunday morning hobby. It's a daily commitment to ride alongside Jesus and His people, learning His ways and following His lead. Three thousand people responded to Peter's sermon that day. Can you imagine? But what's even more remarkable is what happened next—they didn't scatter. They stuck together. They learned together. They prayed together. They broke bread together. The Christian life isn't meant to be lived alone. You need other believers around you, teaching you, encouraging you, praying with you. And they need you too. Questions for Reflection:
Prayer Focus: Jesus, I don't want to be a fence-straddler. I want to be all in. Help me devote myself to Your Word, to fellowship with other believers, to remembering Your sacrifice, and to prayer. Give me a hunger for the things of God and the discipline to pursue them daily. Amen.
