Scripture Focus: Acts 2:36-37 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified. Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart."
Cowboy Wisdom: Out on the range, a good cowboy knows the difference between a coyote's howl and his trail boss calling him in. Satan's voice sounds like a coyote in the night—making you feel small, worthless, and stuck in the mud with no way out. But God's voice? It's like your trail boss calling you home to supper. It convicts you, sure enough, but it always shows you the way back to the campfire. The enemy whispers, "You're too far gone." God hollers, "Come on home, son—I've been waiting on you." Peter's sermon hit those folks like a hammer on a horseshoe. They were pierced to the heart—but notice they didn't run away. They asked, "What shall we do?" That's because conviction from God always comes with a rope to pull you out of the pit. Think about the last time you felt convicted about something in your life. Did it feel like condemnation that left you hopeless, or did it point you toward Jesus and give you a way forward? Questions for Reflection:
Prayer Focus: Lord, give me ears to hear Your voice above all the noise. Help me recognize when You're convicting me, and give me the courage to respond immediately. I don't want to justify my sin anymore—I want to confess it and turn back to You. Amen.
